Kora provides AI-powered study tools, including lecture transcription, note generation, flashcards, quizzes, and tutoring features. This policy applies to all users, including high-school and college students.

Kora deletes all lecture recordings immediately after transcription is completed. Transcripts and generated study materials remain accessible in the user's account until deleted under Kora's retention practices.

5. Data Retention

5.1 Lecture Recordings

Lecture recordings are deleted immediately after transcription and are not stored.

5.2 Study Materials and Account Data

We store transcripts, notes, flashcards, quizzes, AI tutor messages, and uploaded files so users may access them. A long-term retention schedule has not yet been finalized; the policy will be updated once established.

Users may delete their accounts at any time, and associated study materials and personal data will be removed following account deletion.

6. Data Security

We implement administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including:

• Encrypted transmission of data.
• Secure cloud storage.
• Access controls for authorized personnel only.

No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. Sharing of Information

Parents, guardians, or educational institutions may request deletion of a minor's account and data.

• Delete their account and associated data.
• Request deletion of stored transcripts and materials.

Upon account deletion, user data is removed from active systems. Some technical, or security logs may be retained temporarily as required for operational integrity.

If you access Kora from outside the United States, your data may be processed in the United States. By using the platform, you consent to such processing. Users in jurisdictions with additional privacy rights (such as GDPR) may exercise those rights as applicable.
